Workstation or DSE (display screen equipment) assessment looks at the interaction between an employee, his or her desk/chair and computer terminal, investigating the effect of these items on the spine, neck, shoulder and arm. We will make recommendations to improve the situation in which the employee works to reduce stress. It is often simple, low cost answers which can have a profound effect on the stress on the body and, as a consequence, injury prevention.
Ergonomics can be thought of as the link between an employee, the equipment he/she uses and the environment in which he/she works. During an ergonomic assessment we would assess the environment in which an employee works, and perform a movement analysis of common tasks.
